Iomob, an award-winning Mobility as a Service (MaaS) technology provider, today announced an agreement with Smartvel, a leading technology company aggregating destination content to the tourism industry. The agreement provides preferred provider status for both parties when working with clients who may be seeking the services of the counterparty.

Launched in 2017, Iomob is a MaaS platform that enables cities, transport operators, and public transport authorities to deploy their own branded applications, which allow users to seamlessly plan, book, pay for and unlock shared mobility options as part of their door-to-door journeys.

Meanwhile, Smartvel was initially founded in 2013 and today offers destination content and live cultural agenda to over 400 cities in 95 countries around the globe. Some of Smartvel’s clients include global references in the transportation industry such as Singapore Airlines, Iberia, LATAM Airlines or SBB.

Example of integrated mobility and destination content from Iomob and Smartvel

“We are very happy to build a relationship with an innovative company like Iomob, we share a common vision of excellence and innovation applying the latest technology to change the rules of the game in our fields of expertise. We see a great opportunity leveraging both technologies that combine a new approach to the end user and help our customers to add more value to their clients in a unique way”, said Iñigo Valenzuela, CEO of Smartvel.

“Combining a seamless mobility experience with the ultimate destination content is such a natural fit” stated Boyd Cohen, CEO of Iomob. “Most of our enterprise transportation clients, whether it be airlines or rail and bus operators have been expressing the desire for Iomob to help them source and integrate destination content such as restaurants, tourist activities and events so that their end users can find places to go to in the cities they visit, and then leverage Iomob’s partner mobility services to get there. A match made in heaven.”
