Iomob was born in 2018 with a vision to develop a decentralized Internet of Mobility protocol. The market was not ready so we built a centralized version of a mobility marketplace for public and private enterprise.

2022 is the year Iomob returns to its roots. To celebrate our renewed commitment to decentralization, the launch of our new protocol website: internetofmobility.org and the near-term release of the IOM token, Iomob is announcing the launch of our Mobster NFTs.

The IoM protocol will release a special collection of 100 NFTs which will be launched in 100 cities around the globe tied to the deployment of IOM nodes in those cities/regions. Each cities collection will contain references to animals and vehicles that are common or even native to the city/region.

Benefits of Mobsters Ownership

Of course a big goal for Iomob with the launch of the Mobsters NFT is to help grow a community of early adopters and contributors to the IoM protocol. As such there are benefits of Mobsters ownership that include:

  1. A way for you to express your values towards sustainable mobility as your PFP (profile picture) in social media
  2. Access to the OG channel in our new Discord channel
  3. Potential to receive an airdrop surprise this year

The Role of Artists for Mobsters

Sure the Mobsters NFTs are an iniative of Iomob, a digitally native mobility company, building a decentralized protocol. But behind our NFT initiative will be talented artists. For each city Mobster launch, we will work with a local artist.

The first City Mobster campaign is Miami, the headquarters of Iomob’s commercial launch with Brightline this month. Miami has a special place in our heart because it is quickly becoming a major epicenter for the crypto community.

Thus we sought out a local aspiring artist in Miami who represented the Miami community, understood our values and could design our first City Mobster campaign with 100 special Miami-themed designs.

Introducing Ashley Cardenas

Ashley is an asipring artist in Miami who grew up in the community although much of her family has Cuban origins (and trust us, her Spanish has a distinctive Cuban accent).

As we began working with Ashley, we were excited about how quickly she grasped the vision and made it her own. We started with a few initial mockups for the basic concept and then continued to iterate.

As our next City launch is London, we will be on the lookout for a London artist to embrace the aesthetic we developed and to design unique London-based Mobsters reflecting some of the animals and vehicles commonly found in the London area (we know, it is rare to see animals roaming around London but outside of the city there are plenty of options!).
