Announcing the WheelCoin Ambassador Program

Yes we are in a bear market. But as many people Web 3 industry veterans say, bear markets are for building. And as many followers of Iomob know, we have taken that to heart.

While we continue to deploy the Internet of Mobility (IoM) network in a handful of countries on both sides of the Atlantic, we also got busy building WheelCoin, the first blockchain-based, Move2Earn app that rewards users for moving green.

Just over a week ago, we released a public beta version of WheelCoin. Already we are awarding Wheelcoin to thousands of users literally around the globe who are earning for moving green. During the beta, WheelCoin detects users movements and rewards them for every time they walk (at least 100 meters), bike or take a scooter, or take a train/metro/bus.

In future iterations we will enable people to book and pay for green mobility services inside WheelCoin, while frequently receiving discounts from a growing list of mobility services offering to accept WheelCoin as a type of interoperable “air miles for green mobility”.

We have been more than excited by the type of feedback we are hearing from our beta users, particularly as it relates to how WheelCoin really does gamify and encourage them to think twice about, and to change their mobility decisions. Our users want to do what is right for the planet and their health and their cities and feel good about receiving WheelCoin. What’s more, the global interest in WheelCoin this early on, has also been a pleasant surprise.

While we continue to build new features and functionality and work to launch our two token system and NFTs, we are also seeking to accelerate user adoption. After all, the more WheelCoin users, the faster we can collectively accelerate the path to a lower carbon future for mobility.

What does it mean to be an ambassador?

• Represent WheelCoin’s project team from Iomob around the globe
• Encourage your friends and family to download and start using WheelCoin (keep in mind there is a Free2Play onboarding path so you are not asking them to pay for anything)

What’s in it for you?

• Be part of the solution by getting more people to be part of a low carbon future
• Helping your friends and family acquire WheelCoin benefits
• Ambassadors earn WheelCoin credits which can be used for discounts on in-app purchases
• Ambassadors also earn WheelCoin Foundation Tokens (WFT) which is the governance token for WheelCoin
• Ambassadors who successfully recruit at least twenty people to download and use WheelCoin, and remain positive community members can proudly include this on your CV as an early experience in Web 3
• Future rewards may even include opportunities for part time or full time roles working with the project team and even a potential visit for the top ambassador to Iomob’s headquarters in Barcelona

Timeline

1. Please answer this short survey
2. By November 4th we hope to select the first wave of ambassadors (there may be some prior asynchronous communication with potential ambassadors before then)
3. The Iomob team is busy building the referral system and tracking functionality into the WheelCoin app so that you can easily invite your friends and family to get onboard
4. The first wave of the ambassador program will last three months starting on November 7th (assuming the referral features are live)
