Adding more Strength to Iomob’s Global Team-Adrian Ulisse
Many know back in November, Iomob was able to add Scott Shepard, the former CCO for Free2Move to our executive team as our new Chief Business Officer. Today it is with great enthusiasm we are able to announce another major appointment at the senior level, Adrian Ulisse, most recently the Chief Business Development Officer at MaaS Global (AKA Whim), to the executive ranks, as Strategic Development Advisor.
While this role is initially an interim position, Iomob hopes to make his role permanent in the coming months. MaaS Global, from its early days in Helsinki, has become the leading global consumer facing Mobility as a Service solution, and under Adrian’s guidance they continued to grow their reach from expanding to other parts of Europe and to Asia.
“I’m excited about the opportunity of joining Iomob. The enterprise demand for MaaS services is growing, with Iomob leading the way with innovations such as social distancing mobility services. I look forward to developing the business in the UK and beyond”.
Adrian is based in the UK which is just where we want him. The UK is a strategic market for Iomob. In 2018 and 2019 we participated in the Wayra UK/Transport Systems Catapult accelerator program. Furthermore we have several initiatives in development with public and private clients to unveil our award-winning Mobility as a Service solution to enterpise clients. We have also found that the refinements to our solution that factor in social distance to make seamless intercity and intracity journeys safer, to be resonating very well in the UK market. Adrian will now champion our efforts in the UK with public and private sector clients.
We at Iomob have great respect for MaaS Global’s first mover, disruptive vision for seamless MaaS and how it can accelerate a shift towards more sustainable and inclusive mobility while reducing car dependence and the sector’s impact on climate change. We had the pleasure of getting to know Adrian during his involvement with MaaS global and we feel incredibly fortunate to be able bring him into our team.
Iomob, which stands for the Internet of Mobility, headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, has built a white label Mobility as a Service solution which combines proprietary algorithms enabling multimodal combinations of public and private services and an SDK that allows end users to discover mobility services, receive multimodal combinations for their journeys, book and pay for a range of mobility services via our client’s own apps. Iomob has won numerous open innovation challenge awards from organisations like Ford Motors, Renfe and Sweden’s Sustainable Mobility Challenge. Iomob has also participated in prestigious startup accelerators such as Techstars and Wayra and in 2020 won the TravelTech Europe startup first prize (London), 2019 Best Mobility Startup of 2019 at the South Summit, The Public Choice Award from ERTICO in 2019, Top Mobility Startup in the Federation of International Automobiles (FiA) Startup Challenge and selected Top 100 Smart Cities Partners by Newsweek.
